It was yet another fantastic day! The weather is staying clear but finally, the nights are cooler. The temperature got down to just 7°C (44°F) by dawn.
This part of British Columbia is under severe drought conditions at the present time. Ironically, Jay and I cannot remember such pleasant fall weather though. It does feel odd and a bit discomforting to have all this sunshine in October!
Often, we have left for winter by now. This year, we are late departing because we have a cruise-ship journey from Miami to Buenos Aires. It leaves to take us through the Panama Canal and down the western side of South America on November 19th. That part of winter will take a month. We plan on staying in Argentina for three months and will come back in mid-March.
So we have a 'this-autumn-then-summer-and-then spring' situation to look forward to over the next half a year.
