We headed out on a beautiful day for a few more. Our route this time was to Merritt and then over the connector towards Okanagan Lake. We spent stopped at Britton Creek rest stop for a little power but it was too early to eat. We hadn't brought along any food and there was only a food truck providing food for truckers and all the employees building the massive Trans-Mountain pipeline from Alberta to the coast. We stopped for Subway sandwiches in Merritt.
We didn't head all the way into Kelowna but took 97 south. I don't think we'd ever pulled into downtown Peachland before. It was appealing and I could see spending the summer there! We continued to Pentiction which will be our destination for two nights. We found a place to stay that we'd seen online. It's called the Spanish Villas. That sounds fancy but this is an ordinary hotel room. In its favour, it's across the water from this end of Okanagan Lake.
We ate a a Denny's. It's been years and the interiors look the same as ever but the menu was updated. I had skillets that were filling and hot!
