Day 1 - We don't usually head to the airport in the afternoon but today we'll be taking an 'overnight' to Frankfurt, Germany. We have another flight to Copenhagen after a listed, two-hour stopover. Today it appears as if we'll leave Vancouver around half an hour late. Planes have been totally screwed up due to 'people flying'. It seems on many fronts that COVID-19 has caused people to forget how to cope with real life. There are so many staffing shortages and so many excuses! Anyway, this is another day where lose a great chunk of the clock. If everything goes well, we should check into our hotel in the mid-afternoon on Thursday. The photo shows the last time we were there six years ago. We have two nights before we board our cruise ship.
On Saturday, we start sailing for our first stop in Norway.
I will continue to write a daily blog. However, I'm pretty sure I will not be adding to my blog during our time away. Perhaps, we'll only add a Facebook post or two while we visit Iceland, Greenland, and a bit of the Canadian Maritimes. We end up in Boston on August 3rd and directly fly home. You might not see anything new here until next month!
