Toques and Bathing Suits

We spent some time packing today. We had to carefully choose clothes for the cruise from Copenhagen to Boston that begins next weekend. We'll also be spending an extra couple of nights prior to boarding in Copenhagen.  That makes for three weeks of clothing for the trip.  In Iceland, we'll be swimming in hot springs but experiencing chilly evenings. 

Congratulate us on our prudent and wise selections because we are managing to share a single, large suitcase. 

   

We needed to pack more than just extra winter hats and swimming trunks. Of course, the MS Nieuw Statendam will have three 'Gala Nights'. That is what Holland America Line calls its formal evenings. I put a pair of new, black, dress shoes into the luggage.  That, of course, meant we had to pack suits too! We hardly ever don formal attire unless someone dies, or we go on a cruise.
