On the way back, as we were heading up towards the dangerously narrow Pattullo Bridge, I marvelled at just how tall downtown New Westminster has become. Our buildings, at 410 and 420 Carnarvon Street, used to be the highest structures on this end of downtown. Now we have a lot of company. In addition, things keep filling in the gaps and the technology of newer buildings makes for narrower and more slender towers.
At the nearby intersection of Carnarvon Street and Sixth, this residential construction site progressed while we were away. It is continuing to grow by the day.
