We got serious about getting a few errands done. We had a bit of spare vacation cash that we deposited into accounts. We never use cash in Canada.
More importantly, we went to see Arlene at Expedia Cruise Ship Centre on the hill in New Westminster. I cannot remember the last time we visited a travel agent for air tickets. (It was probably back when they were printed on paper.) However, we're convinced that speaking with a cruise consultant is worth the time. Arlene is our agent. She knows the numbers to call in order to get into direct contact with cruise line representatives. We had booked tickets before we left for the winter as we were betting that COVID-19 restrictions would become history by the time this summer arrived. Jay recently spotted some specials going on and before our final payment, we had her check. She saved us a small bundle. The bottom line is that we're all set to sail from Copenhagen to Boston and to be in Reykjavik on my birthday this year!
Then, we crossed the aging, soon-to-be-replaced Pattullo Bridge. Canpar gave up after trying to deliver my e-scooter on just two occasions. I had to go to Surrey to collect my large, very heavy box. Their warehouse is just across the river and we can actually see the building from our balcony.
Now, lethargy seems to be returning. I have yet to touch the box since setting it in the hallway.
