Back in March, we were first tested in Mazatlan, Mexico in order to board flights to Seattle, WA.
At the Peace Arch border crossing, we were deemed inadmissible because these documents were not from a valid US lab. Therefore, we had a few extra nights in Blaine in order to get our second tests done at the Bellingham, WA airport.
We were then primed and ready to enter Canada in an Uber but had to take additional fresh tests on the Canadian side of the border on April 5th. Our driver pulled into a specially-constructed tent and we stayed in the back seat as passengers Those were our third tests in less than a week! Plus, we were given our free, home self-testing kits.
Lastly, we had to self-administer our swab tests with the assistance of an online nurse on our tenth day of self-isolation. A Purolator courier came and picked up our package outside our door. Our kits were whisked to the lab while we waited for the online results of our fourth PCR tests.
Getting something stuffed up my nose seemed like old-hat today.
