We have off every Monday and all the days that come between them.
However, today was a long weekend and a Monday holiday in the province of British Columbia. It is a day designated as a civic holiday in most parts of Canada. Of course, other provinces have different names for it. It comes during an optimum time of summer.
Many folks have travelled over to Vancouver Island this weekend as trips to the Okanagan region of the province have been muted due to a new COVID-19 outbreak and a rash of wildfires and smoke. We didn't venture away but found joy at Queen's Park in our own little city.
There's a lot to enjoy wherever one is on a fine summer day.
