BC's Hotter than the Tropics

We did a little shopping uptown after driving across the Fraser. First, we went to Central City Brewery near the river on the Surrey side. I wanted to pick up some beer as we have guests coming on Saturday. Rather than having my empty growlers filled, I bought 500 ml cans directly at the brewery store. 

I appreciated the car's air conditioning because even after a few minutes of being parked in the sun, it got very hot inside. We are in the middle of our third heatwave of 2021.

 

Right now, the temperature is 37°C which is only a bit more than a degree under 100°F. So, it's a little cooler than during June's heat dome but hotter than I recall during our previous 23 years in New Westminster.  There was a wee bit of smoke from wildfires in the interior and WA state.  On the whole, we've really lucked out this summer as the majority of the smoke has continued to blow eastward.
