Next, we turned down a road that is a shortcut to the Yatiyana neighbourhood of Minuwangoda.

Some of the things have been there for years such as the Yatiyana Buddhist Temple. However, Jay says much of the area used to be a completely untouched jungle. Now houses, roads, and developments have sneaked into the forest-covered area.
It didn't take long to get to the main Yatiyana Junction on the Airport Road. From there we walked slowly along the roadside towards Minuwangoda town. The next larger road on the left how we would get home.

Halfway, between the Yatiyana and Kopiwatta Junctions, sits a new food restaurant. It's called Sasha Food Court and is the latest of five branches. It has a great design and will cater to travellers along the Airport Road. We stopped in although they were just switching from breakfast fare to lunch. I was impressed by the establishment's size and the available food items. The menu was huge with things such as pizza, Thai rice, nasi goreng, with a dessert area that made my mouth water.
In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator: "I'll be back."
