We took Kimchi, our EV, on its first trip over the mountains to the Okanagan today. This car was designed for road trips with the adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

We ate lunch at a Subway in Princeton and then headed to Osoyoos on Highway 3. It was pretty smooth sailing though we stopped twice before getting to our most easterly point. I plugged in the car several times mostly as we wanted to learn where the fast-DC chargers lie on this route nicknamed the Crow's Highway. After a short walk around in Osoyoos, we headed north up the valley.

It was around 5:00 when we stopped in Penticton for the night. Ah, it was clear and warm and tomorrow will be about 30°C over on the dry side of the mountains. We checked into the Motel 5000 and had dinner at a buffet place called the China Palace. It is nice to get out in British Columbia, although the distances involved seem large, the payoff is varied geography and great scenery.

We will leisurely go back home tomorrow. We'll most probably continue to head north and take Highway 97C back over to Merritt.
