Day 105 - The days are getting a little warmer now that the end of February is within view. Today it was nearly 34°C. For those who are metrically-impaired, that means about 93°F. I find it great although one's shirt does need to be thrown into the washing machine as soon as one gets in from outside.Jay will be visiting his sisters in Sri Lanka for a couple of weeks. We haven't visited the island for about six years! His flight will be on Friday and I'll relax here in KL. He's been picking up gifts to take with him. Lots of visitors to Malaysia come expressly for the shopping. In fact, the department stores in our neighbourhood are geared towards this type of shopping. Foreign workers send lots of things which aren't necessary for life here. For example, beautiful, thick Chinese-produced blankets are hot-sellers. There's not much need for heavy bedding in Kuala Lumpur where a record low temperature is around 22°C, or 71°F.
Therefore picking up useful items and special treats, such as chocolate, has been easy. He doesn't need to bring many personal belongings with him, so he may as well fill up a suitcase.
