Day 40 - After our little trip, we needed to restock our supply of fruits and vegetables this morning. We buy most all groceries at the Bintang Supermarket, a 10-minute walk from our apartment. It's north on Jl. Raya Legian. Often times, as well as groceries, we buy produce there.
However, a municipal market on Jl. Sri Rama, is even closer. It's near the river and was a very quick walk this morning. We didn't get there really early when most of the action occurs. We did get several bags full of fruits and vegetables for $US 5 or 6. Jay frequents the same vendors who give us good deals because of our continued patronage.
When we get back to the tiny kitchen at our studio apartment here, with a single gas burner, Jay is able to turn the raw materials into many yummy meals.
