Today was a nice enough day but we stayed pretty close to home. The portrait shots, in particular, were taken during an evening walk within a few kilometers from our studio apartment. Canang sari offerings are always interesting on walks. Jay has devised a personal system for ranking them. If they contain a cigarette they are ranked higher although that is a vice we can hardly see would impress local spirits. If there are crackers, then they should be large. The size of the incense matters as does arrangement and number of flowers. Toffees are a bonus.
Days like today are why we leave our comfortable environment to live away from home. The world is a gift. Not going to see it is an affront to its maker.
