Day 30 - We've been thirty days away, already. I started counting on the first day which only included flying across the Pacific and also those days on our Taiwan stopover. Still, we're only staying in Bali for 59 nights but today I did absolutely nothing of importance. Lounging in the swimming pool isn't important, right?
I'm not apologizing for that. It's the left-over Puritan ethic in North Americans which make many want to get out and work hard. It doesn't seem to matter if it's productive, although if it is, then it's often considered an added blessing. They do all this in order to pay more taxes, I guess. Nope. I'm not cut from that cloth. I've always been more than somewhat proud of my lethargy. My laziness is that of a smart man though. We spend time learning new things in new places.
Those mice who run the maze die earlier than those who are confronted with a piece of cheese and eat it along the way. Even if they were to die on the same day, I'd say the cheese-eating rodents probably had a happier existence. Leaving Vancouver winters and discovering a new, warm-weather location been a big goal in our lives since 2014 and I make no apologies for that.
On the return walk from another Bali beach sunset.
