
We'll need a few passport-sized photos for our Cambodian visas. So, when at the Compleks Bukhit Jambul for shopping today, we had a few taken. We will end our winter in Siem Reap and return to Canada in mid-April. Back in the 1980's we always saved little packets of photos. Nowadays, with scannable passports and vast networking technologies at borders, photos seem less important and even a little quaint.
Are we getting ahead of ourselves? We do have a number of small trips planned before our departure from Penang. First, we're flying to Langkawi for the day tomorrow morning. It's only 120 kilometres from Penang but air travel is so cheap we can go at 7:50 AM and return for dinner at home. In addition, at the end of the week, we shall spend three nights in Bandar Seri Bagawan, Brunei. That'll mean connecting flights in Kuala Lumpur.
