Day 23 - We came for the beach. So today, we walked on it, a lot.
The Zackry Guesthouse is along the quiet beach. We had to walk a ways to get to the main Cenang area. Of course, walking along the clear water was not a chore. We did not go into the aquarium when we hit the crowded part of town. Duty-free shops abound as that is a major draw of Langkawi for local tourism. We ate lunch at an open Malay buffet place where locals were eating. Rather than walking back to our place, we got an Uber ride for less than a Canadian dollar.
We took a nap and then returned to the local section of the beach before sunset. Many restaurants dot the roadside and we chose a bit upscaled Malaya Restaurant and my cashew chicken was excellent. My Mi Band says we only walked around 11 kilometres, but it feels like more.
