The route isn't very long but winds through some of the neighbourhoods we see from our balcony. The new residential towers are tall but there weren't many passengers. I chalk this up to the infrequent service rather than a lack of potential riders.
We got off at the end at a large hypermarket called, Giant. It seems an older market but it really is 'giant'. I liked it as it seemed less hectic. I also noted that the store brand seemed priced below competing products. Of course, the pièce de résistance was the in-store liquor store! I bought a six pack of stout. (I seem to remember a harbinger of big box department stores called, Giant Stores in West Lebanon, NH in the 1960's. Anyone remember this?)
The trip to the Giant Hypermarket took twenty minutes on the bus. However, that is because it winds through streets in order to pick up passengers. I put Uber on my phone. We might want to start using it here as the prices seem pretty reasonable. The two of us could surely cough up $US 1.60 in total for such a future ride back to our apartment.
