One of the only accomplishments today, other than eating, was meeting with New Zealand customs in the Vista Lounge. The country takes bio-hazards seriously! If we'd purchased anything made of wood as a souvenir, it would have to had been inspected. If we'd purchased honey in Australia, it would have to have been disposed of. Thankfully, we seldom opt to bring souvenirs home anymore. The curio-closet is full. Worldwide keepsakes have to stay in their original places nowadays.

I've been reading the gratis New York times via Noordam's wifi in the ship's library. It's been too cool to spend time on the decks. In fact, today's weather mirrors what is happening back in Vancouver today. The sky is gray and the temperature is 12C in both locales. It seems we're both having miserable weather on opposite sides of the seasons.
I should get back to the room. Tonight is another "Gala Night". We'll have one more chance after tonight to wear the old suits and choke in a necktie for the formal dinner.
