The first couple of weeks at home were the hardest. Things really seemed to improve a great deal after the first month. I understand why doctors suggest that many people can return to work after 6 to 8 weeks. Of course, that might depend upon the nature and type of the work. It's not a concern as, thankfully, we grabbed early retirement back in 2014.

Actually, Jay did start attending a cardio-rehab program at Burnaby hospital today. He's primarily interested in the monitored-exercise program. He went in for the 1:00 PM session. Qualified nurses checked his heart rate and blood pressure during his warm up and use of the machines. He plans on attending on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a while. He is younger and healthier than some patients and will probably participate for a shorter period of time than others. He can most likely return to his normal exercise routine at Burnaby's Bonsor Recreation Complex in Metrotown or the Rec Center in Edmonds fairly soon. He can easily 'un-freeze' his membership.
