A Whole Lot of Dams

The last and only time we were on the Holland America Line was in 2006. Of course, that meant our membership reward numbers were long from being accessible to us. However, as we're in the middle of planning a rather lengthy cruise on the Westerdam later in the summer, we thought finding those old numbers might be useful.



The picture shows a coastal trip from San Diego to home. We were on a brief 5-night cruise north. The re-positioning cruises start prior to the Alaskan cruise season, so it was during the month of May. I was able to locate the exact days because of this blog.

We couldn't locate the numbers through the regular HAL web portal. However, my number came up when we were investigating our upcoming itinerary with an agent. I used it when calling the toll free number and explained the situation. I really wasn't sure if 11-year-old bookings would still be valid. They are and the Mariner Club representative added those former five days to my number. He found Jay's number for us as well.

Yikes, it takes an entire '30 days at sea' to get one's second Mariner star. We'll still be a single day shy, even after our upcoming Adriatic / Mediterranean itinerary.
