I guess people have been cooking on smooth, stove tops for 45 years. These dhal lentils were the first cooked on ours, though. Just to keep things nice and retro, the food is cooking in Corning Visionware which hasn't been produced since the late 90's. From the freezer to the oven, how'd that brand fall from grace? I still think of it as a spin-off of the space program. Modern marvels seem rather passé now.
Today was Saturday and our regular day to drive to the Coquitlam Superstore. The weather alternated between drizzle and snowflakes as the temperature hovered around freezing. The parking lot still had a lot of snow, but getting to and from it didn't involve much slipping nor sliding. And, no I live in Vancouver, so I don't own a set of snow tires.
Last night we went out to walk around the block because the snow looked pretty. Okay, done that, I've seen enough. It can all go away now.
