I know that Jay is disappointed that we are not presently in the air flying towards Ghangzhou, China and SE Asia for the winter. His surprise diagnosis of heart trouble resulted in rather abrupt cancellations. He is ever the explorer and really takes joy in seeing new parts of our globe. We know that getting him patched up takes top priority. We want to continue jetting about the planet for many more years, so it's best to take care of things from home this winter.
I thought it would be good to get out of the apartment although it remains terribly dark and wet outdoors. This morning, I discovered an app for my new tablet for local flyers. One just enters one's postal code and has access to many of the local, bulk sales pamphlets. I favourited all the ones we generally like for the ease of reading via my tablet. I noticed H-Mart supermarket too.
We had never ever visited one of the large stores of the chain which stocks primarily Korean products. We drove up North Road, just over the border in Coquitlam. It is on the opposite side of the road from the Lougheed SkyTrain and Mall. It was interesting as it seemed like a traditional ethnic market, except bigger. We didn't really need food but we got some bitter melon, apples, and jalapeno peppers. Oh, and of course we returned with a half kilo of kimchi. The live eels are still there.
