We're not having the traditional fare today as we were guests at an amazing meal at the Canadian one six weeks ago, back closer to the actual harvest. Thanks again, Shinji!

I did give thanks for the gift of food today though. Jay was cooking and I realized the cupboards are full of spices that I wouldn't have a clue as to how to use. Of course, Sri Lankan cuisine, and Asian food in general, makes copious use of seeds, fruits, roots, barks, berries, and buds. Yet, I don't know my cumin from my coriander, or my fennel from my fenugreek.
