I think this old Brother used to sit in a dedicated computer desk back in the day. The HL-2140 model still works well. During the bulk of its lifetime it used to apply toner to copies of examinations for my BCIT students. I haven't a clue as to how old it is.
I occasionally see fancy, new devices for sale in stores. Yeah, I could purchase a WiFi model and keep it somewhere out of the way. Yet, I actually sort of enjoy the anticipation and act of lugging this printer from a bedroom shelf to the floor of the next room. This is the only body building I get.
When it is out, it means there's important business or fun travel documents to put on paper. I still print out Expedia confirmations before travelling. Habits die hard. I bet millennials may not own even own printers nowadays, am I right?
