This morning was dreadfully dark when we got up. That was close to 8 o'clock. Of course, for a few years now the alarm clock has been getting a rest. I'm sure it's perfectly contented simply displaying the time. At least, I've been perfectly contented just letting it do so. The dark start to the day is not going to be greatly affected by Sunday's change back to standard time.At this time of year this area is often dark and cloudy. November is a perfect month to run away to a more tropical location. Earlier this week, we picked up 2017 calendars for the apartment here. We usually remember to buy several early at one of the local, dollar stores. By the we get back from the winter, on April 19th next year, it will be too late to find any cheap ones. I like having a kitchen calendar as it provides a little something new to look at each month.
