This week many Egyptian schools are on a winter break. That means some families travel and we've seen many more local tourists in town. As well, it seems as though the weather has turned a corner. The local forecast never shows rain, but finally the daytime highs are slowly climbing towards 34C (93F). Nights aren't going to push beyond 16C (61F) though.
Now that the heat is returning, we went over to the East Bank today to find out a few more specifics on taking a three-night Nile cruise up to Aswan. We returned to Sunrise Tours as they gave the most reasonable prices when we first inquired. We asked for the names for the ships so we can see if we will be able to spot them along the river. It probably makes little difference really, but this will make cruise spotting into a sport. We will probably book a trip a little later in the month.
