I really didn't want to be doing this right now. In the evening yesterday, I saw something about MS attempts to get into the Android environment with two new apps. I thought I'd just try the Bing Search as it is an attempt to complete with a context-sensitive search. That means that a long press on the home button, even if inside an app, can give specific results via Bing. Or something like that. I thought that might be a fun trial. I installed and checked off some boxes I only half read. Of course, I was tired last night as we'd driven a few hundred miles after a celebration.
This morning when I turned on my phone it announced the time and as I pressed any button on the screen it just read it aloud. I know the little padlock's purpose so it didn't help hearing that it was the 'lock buddon'. I couldn't swipe, I couldn't enter a lock, I couldn't get past that screen in any manner.
I have just opened Google's Device Manager and asked to completely erase. Sigh. I guess it will be fun to start afresh.
