Another reason why I love this time of year is looking forward to the local, Okanagan fruit season. Initially it's the cherries, right? They're going to be along really soon. Then, it's peaches and apricots. After that come the apples, pears and plums.
Of course, British Columbia has a year-round bounty of hothouse agriculture too.

(I sometimes search my blog to see what I've written in the last dozen years. Interestingly, I had just three entries containing the word "tomato" and all were from 2012. Plus this entry will now come up as well!)
