Things Dried Out - Day 110

You remember that rain I talked about yesterday? Well, it continued throughout the entire night. It was even drizzling when we got up this morning and we don't do that until about 8:30 am. So, a whole lot of water fell. Enough to turn the river into raging torrents.


The storm system of under-the-street conduits pretty much did their job. The hills looked ever more verdant. After the last drops stopped falling and the warm wind returned, things dried up pretty quickly.


By later afternoon, it was pretty warm again. Our evening stroll to the beach before sunset was perfect. I have taken this exact shot many times but I still feel lucky to be able to add it to an entry. (It was 6:30 pm at the time of the photo below and sunset occurred at 7:10 pm. We don't change our clocks here until the beginning of next month.)
