Here one doesn't have to think twice about putting on anything special to go out for a walk. It's been as much of a pleasure walking along the shore during this winter as when we used to visit for just a single week of vacation. We often end up at the pier at near sunset because that is common habit in Puerto Vallarta. When we arrived at the end of November, the sun was still going down over the mountains along the edge of Banderas Bay. Now, however, it is setting over the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately there were a few clouds in the way tonight. Clouds do make for a more impressive sight for the minutes after sunset though.
There are always things happening near the Our Lady of Guadalupe cathedral. On Sundays there are bands and older people dance in the square. What are gloves? What is a toque?
