I walked from the parking lot to the NE 1 building across the Burnaby campus of BCIT. It was raining heavily, so I carried an open umbrella as well as my thermos of coffee, the netbook computer, and all of today's materials. I had to put down a bit of the junk to snap a photo of the walk. When I uploaded the picture to Facebook, I called it number three. That means as of tonight, I will walk that path only two more times as a permanent, PTS instructor.

On the
"Holmes-Rahe Social Readjustment Rating Scale" retiring counts as a
45. I don't think there's going to be a gread deal of personal difference, as my job has been remarkably flexible over the years. I am a little sad thinking that I won't be scheduled to assign future COMM 0005 PowerPoint oral presentations. My BCIT students this term, as usual, amazed and entertained me with their superb variety and efforts.
