You Didn't Get a Cookie Jar from Me

Today was the last day of chillin' for a while. I start with a new group of students for a summer course tomorrow morning. It's going to be a change having to be up at 6:15 am.

I walked around downtown in the sunshine before lunch. I saw nothing too exciting to report. The new downtown Civic Centre is getting closer to completion. Oh, and the photo on the left was something I saw in the Salvation Army Thrift Store near Hyack Square. The colourful animals make up a single-piece cookie jar. It was priced at $5.99 and so ugly I almost bought it. What a great gift for someone you hate, I thought. Then, I remembered that I hate no one.
