"Welcome home," the hamster implied. "I rather enjoyed a little alone time, especially when considering I had complete run of the bathtub," she continued. "You left me enough food and water for at least two more months." She added, "I realize it took you a while to get back here today." The hamster apparently said, "I know you left your hostel at 4:15 am today and didn't come in to say hello to me for another 25 hours." "You came back to pet me after being in the air for 14.5 hours. I appreciate that," the hamster seemed to acknowledge.

[Editor's Note] The Air Canada 777 from Frankfurt was comfortable even if the service was a little 'meh'. I rather wish the return trips had also been on Luftansa. They were efficient, friendly, and generous with snacks. Also, the Canadian Border Services queue in Calgary showed the organization is most assuredly not up for the job at that airport. This combined with the most intrusive search we've ever had, in our travels throughout the world, was not welcomed in the slightest. We had to re-schedule on a later flight due to their delay even though our inward bound flight actually arrived early. I missed the "Welcome Home" we always receive when coming into Vancouver.
