Large But Crafty

We drove across the Pattullo this afternoon. When coming back from Surrey City Centre, I turned off to see the new truck route which will connect to the South Fraser Perimeter Highway. There was an ulterior motive. I wanted to find out if the brewery for Central City Brewing gave tours of their new facilities.

What a bright and shiny building! A beautiful beer store section of the building was open, so we went in to enquire. Indeed, they provide tours for the public at 13:00, 15:00, and 17:00 on Saturdays and Sunday. The employee said that each tour is limited to a group of just 12. Therefore, she suggested that reservations are encouraged. I was surprised to hear they charge over $9 per person. Yet, as it includes onsite tasting, it could, perhaps, be a provincial liquor-law regulation. Still, even though there's a charge, it sounds like something fun to do.
