I read somewhere about the increasing number of shoppers using dollar stores. To be precise, the one I visited today is really a buck-twenty-five shop. That article chalked up the increase to a difficult economy nowadays. I do have to disagree for I think it has to do with the improved quality of this type of store. Whereas all goods were once cheap plastic junk, nowadays, there are many useful, interesting items. Considering the sheer variety of items, I find it hard to duck in for one item without leaving with a few extra.
Today I did notice one product that seemed a bit out of place. I wonder what sort of woman would pick up a pregnancy test for $1.25. That seems like an item where it might be worthwhile to spend a bit more to ensure quality.
