My Nexus 7 makes the best remote I've ever owned. We're currently chromecasting an episode of Terra Nova. For quite a few months, we've been inhabiting the new world of television. Namely, we now binge on entire seasons of progamming over a short period of days or weeks. We began doing this before I came across the term.
It seemed silly to let broadcasters dictate when we had to sit on the couch. That problem was solved two decades ago by timeshifting, first to VCR and then on PVR. Still as the programs came one dribble at a time, there was an enormous break in continuity. Why bother with a weekly schedule? Actually, I think that binge viewing allows producers to attempt much more quality content. It allows us to partake in stories much more complex than a single movie could allow. Once liberated from set time and content restrictions, the sky's the limit.
