Obsessive

This chart has been included for historical documentation purposes. Today was the day that Mt. Gox, the largest Bitcoin exchange in Japan caused a price meltdown because of the inability to serve demand. This really wasn't known by the average man on the street as bitcoins are still a bit of a mystery to most. I've been actively interested in the market for only about a month, actually. You can judge my interest in the fact it's already been the topic of a number of blog posts!

There was a remarkable run-up in prices during the last several weeks. As you can see it nearly achieved the $300 mark. I saved this screen image to show that it is under $100 at the moment. Of course, seeing the numbers rapidly rise has been interesting. I have found myself fascinated by the Bitcoin charts and trading activity. I don't know which way the immediate direction will head as soon as that important exchange resumes normal operation. I promise myself that I will try to be a little less obsessed though.
