I could tell when midnight had arrived for all the sound of fireworks. Today was a pleasant day. The only snow to be seen has been on the evening newscasts, where the anchor has, at times, been announcing in a mild digitally-created storm. I could easily get used to Christmases without snow. Wait, most of my Christmases over the last 30 years have been without the white stuff. It didn't snow in the Middle East. When in Vancouver, we have just a 1 in 10 chance of having a white Christmas.
Some of the Christian neighbours stopped by with traditional, Sri Lankan sweets. As this happens during other times for differing religions, there's always an excuse to eat desserts here.
I didn't have a Christmas socking this year, but Santa did cough up for a digital subscription. Yay!
