Just a few minutes ago, we returned from a walk to "Little Adam's Peak". It was only two hours to go and come. The views were beautiful. We stopped to have afternoon cup of tea when returning near a tea-pickers village. The contents in my cup may have been within sight of the bush on which it grew.

We got here on a direct bus which continued on to Kandy. We'd left Tissamahara at around 8:30 and proceeded north to slowly climb the winding road into the mountains. The other day I was at Kirinda beach and by definition at sea level. At the moment I'm at 3400 ft above it. We're here to cool off and can expect temperatures of around 12C (54F) tonight. Blankets lie ready on the beds in this town! That will make for an interesting change.
