Making the World a Little Smarter

I spend between 45 minutes and an hour every day walking. Generally, I have a 5 lb. ankle weight strapped to each leg. Going uptown and back is no longer nearly as difficult as it used to be. After coming back I jump briefly in the shower and then settle into my building's hot tub to stretch a bit.

During my hike up the hill, I have on a pair of over-sized headphones. I'm a little proud to be one of those silly looking folks. Rather than listening to music though, I get the opportunity to listen to around seven hours of my favourite podcasts per week.


Weekends on All Things Considered - 2012.09.30

From 12:40 to 30:50 minutes there's an interesting segment on online courses and distance learning in higher education. My particular area of education, communications skills, requires group interaction. I'd be a little frightened of the future, if my job involved speaking in a lecture hall in front of a few hundred students though.
