Fab Day for a Parade!

It's always on our summer list of weekend events and the weather surely cooperated for this year's Vancouver Pride Parade. We have viewed the event from various locations over the years, but this year chose a place a little too near the end. We were across the road from the Beach Towers. It was easy to see. There was a choice of sunny or shady spots. In most ways it seemed like a perfect place.

Yet something must have held things up along the route. After about, what turned out to be half the parade, we thought it was over. We couldn't see anything more coming down the street. Not only we were fooled, most of the crowd packed up to go to the events at the end by Sunset Beach. We walked around the booths, met a few people, and then noticed the parade had seemingly restarted!

We missed some, not a lot. Even this minor setback seemed pretty inconsequential on a day with such fantastic weather as today!
