In yesterday's entry I discussed moving my document files to SkyDrive. As well, Google sent me my invitation to Google Drive. I think I'll use the 25GB on SkyDrive for my typical storage and Drive for special data.

I realized what a mess things had become, Very unlike me, I had a screen full of shortcuts and files on my desktop. I generally pride myslef on having only the Recycle Bin icon there. Well, it's back to its pristine condition. In addition, thousands of files scattered all over my various drives have been consolidate and organized. I even went so far as getting rid of 65GB of music files now that they've all been uploaded to Google Music. It is as satisfying as throwing out physical junk during spring cleaning.
Oh, and I did a bit of that too. I was in search of DVD discs burnt specifically to hold old backup data. I had some files going back to my very first PC in the mid-1980's. Unfortunately I didn't find them. I did manage to clean up some other clutter though. It seems as if things have been misplaced since replacing carpets a few years back. I kept wondering where things like the needles and thread were. Other missing things included 3-D glasses for viewing Google Street View. Yet, I found them in a box right in plain sight. Boxes have been moved and dozens of tidbits thrown away.
Whether in the virtual or physical world, nothing feels better than being organized!
