I've Seen That!

Just 'cause something's online, doesn't mean it's easily accessible. I've got hundreds of personal travel photos spread across 9,000 images in my Flickr photo stream. It certainly would be possible to group them into sets and collections there. In fact I do this. It's just that, even after all the work, the images continue to be hard to access and share.



I wanted to create a single page to showcase some of the travelling we've done over the years. A textual list of the places would be ubber-boring and not lead to any participation on a viewer's part. I have decided to use a Pinterest board as a quicker means to point to those some of those pictures.

This is all still a work in progress. Any of the small icon pins may be clicked which will open up the pin itself. Then, for an even closer inspection, a click on the larger pin links back to an even larger version right on the Flickr site. Try one, please. On Pinterest, I saw one person who created her entire resume by the way of a Pinterest board. I find it interesting that new technology is allowing us to go back to a more visual form of communication. Is this the modern equivalent of cave painting?
