Canada's Got Talent!

Okay after the last three days, I've come to think of Pinterest.com as an enormous 'time suck'. Still, I keep going back to it. I am surely glad such distractions didn't exist when I was in college and had to study. I suppose people have always been able to avoid work regardless of the era or technology. I find that pinning leads to better organization skills though. As one's pins expand, one needs to differentiate boards.



I started a famous person board yesterday and that lead to my present little project. I have begun a new one this morning just to highlight 50 Famous Canadians. I have been meaning to publish a listing here in blog form but somehow Pinterest seems a better place to avoid a boring textual list. When I first came to Canada I was surprised by the number of famous people whom I hadn't known hailed from here. As one lives in Canada, one becomes more aware of the big talent pool and role Canadian people play in American movies, TV, and music. For example, Perry Mason was on television as soon as I could reach the channel selector but I never guessed I'd be living in the town in which he was born.

Now the problem is there are literally dozens and dozens of new pins to add. Sigh. I haven't even gotten to Anne Murray or Celine Dion yet!
