It's Not Nine to Five

My final exams have been corrected and the message board topic scores tabulated. The final marks have now been electronically turned in and confirmed. A final email note has been mailed out to all class members. I've already sent the PDF of a letter of recommendation to a student who requested one.

I will now clean up my email box at my.bcit.ca and I'll be free.



I love teaching for many reasons. First and perhaps most importantly, there is a definite start and end with each group I get. I appreciate the feeling of accomplishment that I have today. As well, the classes themselves are composed of many different individuals. No two classes are the same and I thrive on the variety. I understand that most folks have to deal with the same-old work situation day in and day out. Lastly, I can see a marked difference in student skills over the short duration of my courses. Many people make important contributions to an organization but never get to see an end product or the fruition of their labours.

I am a lucky guy!
