I was in Queen's Park today at around noon. When driving home from the BCIT Campus, I couldn't help but appreciate what a fine day it was. I ducked into London Drugs but couldn't find anything in the current flyer that was a must-have. So, I continued on and parked the truck at the park. It was truly nice seeing the green grass and fir trees. There wasn't much going on when compared to more normal summer activity. There was nobody at the picnic shelters. Of course the kiddie water park was shut. No farm animals were there to greet me at the Petting Zoo. Even the rose garden looked forsaken.
Yet, even with all these minuses, I was content just to walk a bit. It seems as if my taxes buy into this grande timeshare which is often unoccupied during this time of the year.
