My Bags Are Packed

It's a little weird not going into the classroom this week. I see references to new classes and teaching all over Twitter. I also see several teacher friends in Facebook discussing educational topics. Even general media are full of school stories. I am on leave now though. I will, however, include a photo from last year just to go along with the crowd.

It must be said that it was just several weeks ago I finished up with a summer course. For many years I have taken international journeys during the first half of the fall term. Earlier, I was looking back through these pages and discovered we had arrived in Malaga, Spain a year ago yesterday. This is a perfect time of year for travel as the weather's good and places less crowded. I hope to come back to a class for November and December. It may be time to start thinking of other places I can put my talents to use too. I'd like to get involved a bit more in TechEd. I'm a hell of a classroom teacher but I have many, many wizard skills.

I suppose it is a bit too soon to retire though, isn't it?
