The Pattullo Bridge is a well-known structure in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. It should be ... as it has been straddling the Fraser River between Surrey and New Westminster for about 74 years! There's a certain grace to the aging bridge but it is extremely dangerous. It has been a part of life for us in Canada because we live in downtown New West. I have taken many pictures that include it over the years. In fact the main Wikipedia photograph was taken with my very first digital camera. If you click the appropriate tag below in the footer, you may be able to locate a prior entry with a slide show of images of the bridge I have on Flickr.
Today's photo, named "Grandpa Pattullo", was snapped with my camera phone. I had been riding around town on my electric scooter. As the original picture lacked a certain amount of necessary pizzazz, I ran a B&W Picplz filter on it and uploaded it directly to a number of Internet venues via 3G. Oh standard film cameras, I could never go back to you!
