It's Been 8 Years in the Making

You'll have to bear with me today as I want to, again, blog about the act of blogging. It's just I made a few substantial changes to the format of my eJournal and images over the last few days. This, plus the fact that in about 10 days it will turn eight years old, means I want to document what I consider as an achievement.

I do not know of a single individual who has created a daily entry in this manner over such a long time. I know, I should spend less time patting my own back, but I think I am 'one for the record-books'. In fact, I was snooping around on the Internet and found that the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine spotted my blogging endeavour back in 2003. It got copies of many internal links as well, which I find rather amazing. Their archiving software returned occasionally in subsequent years, but hasn't snooped around since I moved my data from my own domain to blogspot.

The following screenshots are the same initial page started during the first week of September in 2003. In the original version, the page formating is pretty awful. Over the years, there have been many different versions, but I do like the fact the basic entries are still alive today!
